TAttoo Aftercare
1. Leave the bandage on
Keep the initial bandage or wrap on for 2–4 hours (or as advised by your artist). Wash your hands before removing it.
2. Clean gently
Wash the tattoo with warm water and fragrance-free soap. Do not scrub. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
3. Apply a thin layer of moisturizer
Use a fragrance-free, alcohol-free ointment or lotion. Apply a light layer 2–3 times daily—do not over-moisturize.
4. Keep it clean and dry
Avoid soaking the tattoo (no swimming, baths, saunas) for at least 2 weeks. Quick showers are fine.
5. Avoid sun exposure
Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight. After it heals, always use SPF to protect the artwork.
6. Do not pick or scratch
Flaking and itching are normal. Let scabs fall off naturally to avoid fading or scarring.
7. Wear loose clothing
Avoid friction and tight fabrics over the tattoo while healing.
8. Healing time
Most surface healing takes 2–3 weeks; deeper healing takes up to 6 weeks.
If you notice excessive redness, swelling, or unusual discharge, contact your artist or a healthcare professional.
